Options for Paying for School

Sometimes the thought of applying for financial aid and doing the paperwork can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! You’re not alone in this process. Remington College’s Student Finance Department is ready to help you determine your eligibility and start your application for specific financial aid opportunities.*

Financial aid comes in many variations depending on needs, merit, circumstances, restrictions, and/or qualifications.

First, you need to apply for your FAFSA access PIN. Once you have your PIN number you are ready to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is filled out online and a Remington College Student Finance Associate can assist you with the application process if needed.

After you’ve submitted the application, we may ask you for additional information to complete your financial aid file. Financial aid applications often involve deadlines, so it is important for you to stay on top of those.

Based on the FAFSA and the other information you provide, Remington College will create a financial aid estimate, called an Estimated Award Letter. The Estimated Award Letter contains a description of the types and amount of aid that you may be eligible to receive.*

At this point, if you are applying for loans you may need to submit a loan application. The application information will be included with your financial aid package. If you are pursuing privately funded grants and scholarships make sure to review all of their instructions and eligibility requirements carefully as they often have specific conditions to receive their funds.

Qualifying for financial aid is a step-by-step process, but you will find it to be worth your while. Contact your Campus’ Student Finance Department today to learn more about funding your college education.

Every educational institution, in accordance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), must post a net price calculator on its website. It is intended to help you understand the costs of attending Remington College and what financial aid you may be eligible to receive if you qualify.

You will need to answer a series of questions, including questions about your financial situation.

Please remember that some of the questions are optional and are marked as such. This calculator only provides an estimate.

Remington College is a military friendly college with most locations approved for veterans training by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Students may also, if eligible, receive financial aid from various other state or federal agencies, departments, or programs including, but not limited to: the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Trade Readjustment Allowances (“TRA”), the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, or under the Workforce Investment Act (“WIA”). The Campus may be able to provide additional information about these financial aid programs. Students should thoroughly investigate the availability of other sources of financial aid or assistance and should not rely upon the Campus as being their sole source of all information regarding the availability of such programs, if any.

Employer Reimbursement

Educational assistance benefits may include payments by an employer. Students should contact their employer to explore the specific benefits that may be available.

The U.S. Department of Education uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as the FAFSA, to determine the types of aid for which you are eligible. The FAFSA is completed online. However, if you need assistance completing the application a Remington College Student Finance Associate is only a call away if you need help at any point. You can also visit www.studentaid.ed.gov.
